New Kornit Ink System Produces More Vibrant Custom T-Shirts
NEWS: Huge color development means better custom t-shirt prints

As one of the nation’s leading direct-to-garment custom t-shirt printing companies, we are pleased to announce that we have successfully implemented the new Kornit V223 ink into our machines. The printing results we are achieving on custom t-shirts is beyond our wildest expectations. This advance in DTG technology is truly the largest leap in digital custom t-shirt printing in the last several years.

From a technical perspective this new ink system will allow us to print approximately 16 million additional full and fractional colors on custom t-shirts. To date the custom t-shirt printing market whether screen printing or direct-to-garment printing, has been constrained by a relatively narrow color gamut. The term color gamut refers to the range of color that is printable thru the CMKY process printing method.

The main changes to this new ink system are directly related to the pigmentation of the CMY components of the CMYK printing method ( C=cyan (blue), M=magenta, (redish pink) Y=yellow (yellow) , K=black (black). The black component of the ink system essentially functions as before. Brighter colors are easily achieved with this system. Colors such as electric blues and lime greens are now in the gamut.

We anticipate that our custom tee shirts customers will be pleased with these changes. We also feel that this new system will result in less manual intervention in customer files.
