On dark color t-shirts an under-base coat of white ink that is not visible to the naked eye is required to create a surface that will allow the printed ink to be crisp and clean and opaque. The under-base white ink is then “flash dried” the touch at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit. Subsequent colors are then printed on top of the under-base creating brilliant color.
