A company bowling event
is a fun and inexpensive way to promote
comradery and raise morale. Start by talking
it up among your employees. Gauge the interest
level and determine when the best time to
hold the event. Evenings are getting tougher
and tougher for the married-with-children
set so you may want to consider an early
afternoon. An afternoon outing would also
guarantee you available lanes in most alleys.
Once you have a rough idea of attendance,
determine how many different teams you can
have. Teams should consist of 1 to 3 pairs
(2 to 6 bowlers) and you should have at
least 3 teams to ensure a fun competition.
Now that you have determined
your teams, choose your team uniforms. Instead
of team names go with team colors by simply
using different color shirts. Screen printing
or embroidering the same insignia on all
the shirts will save you time and money.
If you want to create something fun just
for the event, we recommend screen printed
t-shirts
with a full front or back design that incorporates
both your company's logo and a bowling motif.
Don't hesitate to call the design team at
Blue Heron, we'll be happy to help. If you
want to get more mileage out of your event,
try embroidered
golf shirts with your standard logo;
afterwards the participants can use them
as staff shirts. If you really want to promote
the "bowling" theme, then you
can always go with embroidered camp
shirts.
Don't be surprised if certain
participants try to get a company league
going before the event is even over. Reward
their enthusiam with your support. You may
also want to suggest inviting customers
and/or dealers to participate as well. Relationship
building is the key to long term success;
casual leagues such as this are a great
vehicles to get take your there! |
